Andre Patrick Saxton Sr., loving husband, Pops, Daddy, Grandpa and Poppi, peacefully passed away on December 4, 2022 surrounded by family. He was 77 years old. Andre was born September 25, 1945, in Wichita County, Texas.
He was the eldest son of Elton J. & Marguerite W. Saxton.
Andre graduated from St. Gregory's High School in Shawnee. He married Kathleen in March of 1977, in Oklahoma City, OK. Andre spent a lifetime stepping into a uniform, from 1968 right up until his retirement in 1995 as an Army Lieutenant Colonel. He was a soldier, not just a person in uniform. A true soldier with values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. He made a life caring for those he served with and to whom were under his command. Andre had many loves, but God, Family and Country were his top three. He loved God and often asked God to bless you if he crossed your path. He especially enjoyed spending time with Kathy on their boat at Lake Texoma. In his retirement years, Andre's love of food and cooking flourished and he was well known for his Spaghetti sauce, Vegetable Curry, Olive Soup and collection of cheeses. Andre also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, shooting, riding horses, and spoiling his 6 kids, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother - Frank Saxton and
granddaughter - Nacè Mentzer
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Saxton, Harrah, OK: 5 sons and a daughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday December 10, 2022, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK.
