Barbara Faye Smith

Barbara Faye Smith (81) passed away at her home in Harrah, OK surrounded by family on May 2, 2018. She was born in Purcell, OK. to Selby and Inez (Crosslin) Mills on March 27, 1937. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Thermon Harvey Smith, Sr., of the home, her children Thermon Harvey Smith, Jr. of Harrah, Clint Preston Smith and wife Brenda of Harrah, Onney Gregg Smith and wife Debra of Jacktown, Gay Linn Reynolds and husband Tim of Choctaw, son-in-law Shawn Irie of Norman, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one brother Wayne McNutt, three sisters JoAnne Barlow, Sharon Spicer and Tina Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara married Thermon on March 30, 1954 in Sherman, TX. She was a long time member of the Harrah Church of Christ. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed music. She liked to do crafts and sewing and would sell her crafts. She was a cook at White Rock School while her younger children attended there and also worked at Summit Ridge.She is preceded in death by her parents, three daughters Diana Estelle Anthony, Cheryl Anette Smith, and Linda Danette Irie, one grandchild Laurie Renee Webb, one great-granddaughter Brooklyn Estelle Newville, one great-grandson Jace Braxton Newville, 1 sister Delores Mills, and 2 brothers Doney and Aubrey McNutt. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Harrah Church of Christ with Mr. Jim Mitchell officiating, with interment to follow at Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, OK. under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
