Betty Jean Foster

BETTY JEAN FOSTER Betty Jean Seidel Foster, 90, of Jones was born to Frederick Arthur and Ida Mae Seidel in Jones, OK on January 26, 1931. She passed from this life on June 6, 2021. At age 12 she moved to Wagoner and attended Wagoner Schools. She met Pete Foster there and married him in 1948. They had two children, Donna Foster-Boland and Larry Foster, both born in Tahlequah, OK. The family then moved to Harrah, OK and Sheila Foster-Larson was born. Betty loved to garden and was secretary for Sneed Tree Nursery for many years. She then started her own garden center in Harrah. She also loved all her church family. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; a brother Arthur Seidel; sisters Freda Jones and Ruth Dunham; her daughter Sheila Foster Larson and her son, Larry Foster. Graveside services under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Jones IOOF Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the Asa Smith Funeral Home, 2039 Tim Holt Drive, Harrah, from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
