Charles Michael Brimer

Charles Michael Brimer, 80, of Harrah, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born on April 1, 1944, in Indianapolis, IN, to Chester and Mary (Carpenter) Brimer. Chuck spent his youth moving with his family before settling in San Diego, California.

Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Navy and Army from 1961 to 1970, during the Vietnam War as a tank mechanic.

He made Edmond, Oklahoma, his home for many years, working as a groundskeeper at the University of Central Oklahoma, a role that grew his love for gardening.

Chuck retired to Harrah, Oklahoma, where he devoted his time and talents to the local community garden, actively participated in the senior center, and was a faithful member of the Methodist Church.

Chuck will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his community, ornery sense of humor, and his quiet strength.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Don Horner, a sister Donna Fiegehen, brother-in-law James Hunt and a nephew Jared Hunt.

Survivors include three daughters Mindi and husband EJ Start of Bethany, Cindy Reason of Yukon; Shana and husband Brian Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; brother Richard Horner of Mustang; sister Linda Hunt of Harrah; grandchildren Ruby, Edison, Jessica, Gavin, Jordan, Peyton, Angel and Brett; and a nephew Jason Hunt.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Harrah United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
