Cheryl Ann Young

Cheryl Ann Young, 62, of McLoud, passed Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the McLoud Nursing Center.

Cheryl was born July 27, 1960, in Norman, to Roger Downey Ferris and Jacqueline Jean (Roberts) Ferris. She was reared and educated in Oklahoma, graduating from McLoud High School in 1979. She married Timothy Ray Young on November 24, 1979. The couple made their home in Harrah until 2003. Cheryl has suffered from strokes since she was 6 years old which limited her life. She has been a member of the McLoud United Methodist Church most of her life.

She is proceeded in by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Timothy of Oklahoma City; sisters Gayle Ferris of Oklahoma City, Carol and husband Larry Albert of Katy, Texas; two nieces, Nicole and husband Stephen Holmes, Tessa and husband Travis Glass; nephew Todd Albert; two great-nieces, Kieran and Mia Holmes and one great-nephew Fraser Glass.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the McLoud United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery.

The casket will be open at the church 12:00 pm until service time.
