Christopher Dean Staal

Christopher Dean Staal, 54, of McLoud, died Friday, September 15, 2023, with his family by his side. Chris was born June 4, 1969, in Oklahoma City, to Jerry Leon Staal and Glenda Carolyn (Porter) Staal. His family moved north of McLoud when he was in the first grade. He attended Meeker Schools, graduating from Meeker High School in 1987. He later received his electrician’s training and became a journeyman electrician. He enlisted in the United State Army and served overseas during the “Enduring Freedom” operation. He also served as a member of the Army National Guard. Chris enjoyed camping and fishing and sitting around the campfire with family and friends. He was a devoted member of the Sharon Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.

Survivors include his children Kolden and wife Robin Staal of Bethel, Ryan Staal of Macomb, and Brionna Staal of Macomb; stepchildren Kody and Kyle Rust of Oklahoma City; Macayla Smith of Macomb; his mother Glenda Staal of McLoud, brother Bruce and his wife Tammy of McLoud; sisters April and husband Mike Walker of McLoud; Holly House of McLoud; and a grandson Spencer Staal.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Sharon Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church; Sharon Baptist Church, 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Dr, Shawnee, OK, 74801
