Former Harrah resident Delores Ann Doke, 80, left this life for her Heavenly home on Friday in Midwest City, OK. She was born Nov. 8, 1937 in Chickasha, OK to Ignacio and Anna Leona Romo Garcia. She and Carrol Doke were married June 3, 1956 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah. Delores and Carrol’s special achievement in life was raising three beautiful daughters. Delores enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and cooking. She was a loyal, forgiving, loving, had a huge sense of humor and was faithful to her religion. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carrol in 2013 and her sister Nadine Guerrero. She is survived by three daughters, Debra Scire of Downey, CA, Pamela Cabell of Sacramento, CA and Shela Steward of Midwest City, OK; one brother, Jesse Garcia and wife Earlene of Wolfe City, TX; five grandchildren, Daniel Edquist and wife Tanya of Upland, CA, John Edquist and wife Jennifer of Menifee, CA, Kevin Linebeck of Sacramento, CA, Robert Linebeck of Sacramento, CA and Angela Steward of Midwest City, OK; three great-grandchildren, Dorian Edquist and Sophia Edquist of Upland, CA and Carter Edquist of Menifee, CA. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Harrah. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Asa Smith Funeral Home, 2039 Tim Holt Drive, Harrah. Tributes and condolences may be posted on the funeral home web-site, www.asasmith.net.
