DENISE RAE DUNHAM

Denise Rae Dunham, 53, of Norman, left this life and a joyous reunion with family and friends in Heaven on Friday, July 28 at her home. She was born February 28, 1970, in Harrah, OK, to Nancy (Pool) Dunham and Robert “Bob” Dunham.

Growing up Denise enjoyed riding horses, playing softball and basketball, and being a cheerleader. She enjoyed caring for her animals. Denise loved decorating for all holidays. Denise doted on her nieces and enjoyed being their NeNe and had a special relationship with each of them. Denise dedicated her life to caring for her parents as they grew older.

Denise was a 1988 graduate of Harrah High School, later Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center, Rose State College and received a Master’s Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond.

She was employed at Rose State College in a number of capacities, including work study assistant, systems analyst and most recently as a staff member at the Career and Advancement Center.

She was a loving, generous and kind person and was happiest when helping others.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Carson Welch.

Survivors include her sister, Debbie Dunham and husband Scott Welch of Norman, and nieces, Sheridan and Skyler Welch, Norman; special family friends Tracey Spillars and husband Mike, and Shelly Cantrell and late husband John.
