Dianne Lajoy Carson

October 5, 1950 — December 26, 2022

Dianne Lajoy Carson, 72, of Choctaw, died Monday, December 26, 2022, with her children by her side. Dianne was born October 5, 1950, in Houston, Texas to Ray and Joye (Hollowell) Troutt. The family moved to the McLoud area when Dianne was two. She graduated from McLoud High School in 1968. Later in life, Dianne went back to school and received a master’s degree in early education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She taught at several different Oklahoma City area schools and finished her career in 2013, at McLoud Elementary School teaching Pre-K. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Newalla.

Dianne was known for her great sense of humor, her selflessness for her children, students, and friends. She did all she could and more for her children and grandchildren.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children Nicki Whittington of Enid, and Russell Boland of Alpine, California; her grandchildren Alex Whittington of Liberal, Kansas, Derek Whittington of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Carmen Boland and Samuel Boland both of Fresno, California; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2nd husband Bud Carson, and two brothers Don and Dwayne Troutt.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Dale Cemetery, Dale, Oklahoma. Cremation has been affected.
