Donald Jarvis Obituary
Donald Jarvis, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 22, with his family by his side. He was born Donald Ray Jarvis in Earlsboro, OK to Ray and Anna Jarvis. He graduated from Prairie Valley High School in 1952. Donald’s career as a plumber pipefitter allowed him to fulfill his love of travel which was the inspiration for his detailed stories for which he was known. After he retired, Don was happy following the adventures of his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching all sports, especially Oklahoma City Blazer hockey games with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elenora, his mother and father, and his sister, Mary.
Survivors include his sons Michael (Joelle)of Westminister, MD; Tim(Tami) of Edmond; his daughters Kathy (Cliff) of Kansas City, MO; Susan Tate of Oklahoma City; one brother, Everett (Myrna) of Bethany; grandchildren Kristen (Brad); Rachael (Cale); Nick (Toni); Garrett (Rose); Miranda (Nick); Lance (Rachel); and Amy (Joe); as well as his great-grandchildren Lilly, Jett Myers, Nash, Camden, Tatum, Beau, Jett Jarvis and an eighth great-grandson arriving in November, 2023.
We request all of Don’s loved ones to join us at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church on Saturday, August 26 at 9:30 for Mass and burial. Reception is at Asa Smith Funeral Home immediately following burial.
