DORIS CAROL CALDWELL
Doris Carol Caldwell, 88, of Oklahoma City and former resident of Harrah passed from this life to her rewards in Heaven and a reunion with a host of family and friends on May 12, 2023, in Oklahoma City. She was born to Ford Tinsley and Martha Ann Briscoe Tinsley in Harrison, AR on March 25, 1935.
She was a college graduate with a Business Degree in bookkeeping and accounting. A very intelligent woman, she elected to stay at home and take care of her family. She enjoyed travel and later worked for Harrah Schools as an Title 9 Indian Education tutor, Harrah High School Media Center and Harrah Middle School tutor. Doris was a wonderful story teller who overcame many obstacles and remained close to God.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Harrah.
Doris enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards with friends, working puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ellis Caldwell, a son Mark Ellis Caldwell, her father and mother, Ford and Anna Tinsley.
Survivors include a sister Janis Sprouse and husband Montie of Bixby; son Todd Caldwell and wife Heather of Choctaw; son Troy Caldwell and wife Rabina of Oklahoma City; three grandsons, Ford Caldwell of Oklahoma City, Finn Caldwell of Oklahoma City and Reid Caldwell of Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 15 at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah. Interment will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 14. Condolences and tributes may be posted on the funeral home website www.asasmith.net.
