Ellen Drew

Ellen Wiegert Drew, 91, of McLoud joyfully joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 20, 2021 at her home in McLoud. She was born May 8, 1930 in McLoud, OK to Albert and Retha Pickard Wiegert. Ellen was the only girl with three older and three younger brothers. She grew up in McLoud and played basketball for the Lady Redskins She was a member of Eastern Star/Masonic Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, farming and canning vegetables and fruit that she grew herself. Ellen was a homemaker and a kind-hearted caretaker of others. She had an extensive doll collection and she gladly spoiled her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Floyd, Lester and Gene Wiegert. Survivors include her brothers, Carroll Dean, Wayne and Larry Bob Wiegert and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah. Private funeral services will be held.
