EMILY TUCKER

Emily T. Tucker, 95, of Oklahoma City, passed from this life on November 12, 2023, at the McLoud Nursing Center to her rewards in Heaven and a joyous reunion with a host of family and friends. She was born to Charley and Tykana Atamanczyk Tytenicz on June 8, 1928, in Harrah, OK.

Emily graduated from State Center High School in 1947 and went to work at Wilson Meat Co. in 1948. There she met Darrell Lee Tucker and they eventually married on June 28, 1975, in Jones, OK. She worked for Wilson 31 ½ years until she retired in 1980.

She was an active member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Jones. Emily enjoyed bowling, crocheting, working in her flower garden, canning homegrown vegetables and fruit and watching sports on TV.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; her parents; two brothers Stanley Tytenicz and Pete Tytenicz and two sisters, Josie Joskuloski and Katy Webb.

Survivors include five nephews, Henry Manek and wife Joan, Daniel Joslin, Joe Tytanic and wife Marilyn, Chris Tytanic and wife Jamie and Paul Webb and three nieces, Carolyn Stejskal, Joan Moss and Mary Mayhew and husband Kraig.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jones, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery with Father Raphael Moore and Father Stepan Bilohan officiating. Services are under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Tributes and condolences may be posted on the funeral home web-site asasmith.net
