Eva Mary Simpson

Eva Mary (Madrid) Simpson, 93, of Harrah, passed from this life to her rewards in Heaven on September 24, 2023, at Summit Ridge Nursing Center. She was born to Thomas Madrid and Ofelia Zamora Madrid on September 5, 1930, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Eva was a feisty woman who spoke her mind, enjoyed dancing and had a great sense of humor. She was committed to the Lord and was always very complimentary of others.

She worked in a department store and was a teacher's aide while living in California. She was a cook at the Harrah Senior Center after moving to Oklahoma.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Rosie.

Survivors include a son Bennie and wife Sandy Simpson; two daughters, Gerry and husband Mike McCoy and Carol Lind; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Memory Lane Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service. Tributes and condolences may be posted on the funeral home website www.asasmith.net
