Frances Agnes (Jorski) Meek was born on May 16, 1916, to John and Jadwiga Hattie (Kusek) Jorski in Wellston, OK. She went to be with her LORD and Savior on Feb. 5, 2021 at the age of 104 at her longtime residence in Harrah, OK. Frances met Ervin Meek and they were married on Sept. 27, 1934. They had four children, two boys and two girls. Daniel, Charles, Evelyn and Patricia. Frances worked hard all her life at various jobs. During WWII she worked on airplanes at Tinker Air Force Base and was commonly called one of the Rosie the Riveters. She then worked on a ranch for 10 years and then as a silk finisher from which she retired from Yales Cleaners in Tulsa, OK. Frances loved quilting and hand-stitched many ornate and precision quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing, and most of the time winning, at Scrabble with whomever she could lure into playing with her. She loved to put puzzles together. Frances loved gardening, canning and cooking what she grew. She won several First Place prizes at the Tulsa State Fair for her canned pickled squash and beets. Many people would seek out her gardening advice but she had to quit gardening at 102 years old because of her knee injury. At the age of 100 she was honored as the Grand Marshall of the Harrah Day Parade. She enjoyed spending time with family and attending family get togethers. Although she struggled with not being able to walk around for the last couple of years, she was always sharp as a tack and always had a story to tell from her 104 years of experiences.
