Frederick Kenepp, 77, of Midwest City, passed from this life peacefully on August 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born to Fred E. and Nellie Anne (MacBride) Kenepp in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Independence aircraft carrier and met his wife Ruth while in the Navy. After his service, he was employed by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics in Akron, Ohio, retiring after 41 years of service. During retirement Fred volunteered at Cleveland Clinic - Akron General Challenge Golf and enjoyed time with his wife Ruth and their friends at Brittany Pointe. Fred relocated to Oklahoma to pursue his favorite pastime, being with his family. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending the grandchildren's sporting events, school activities, as well as fishing and boating with family and friends. He will be missed greatly. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ruth (Mathias) Kenepp, his parents, a sister, Mary Anne Hill, a brother, William E. Kenepp and a nephew William E. Hill, Jr. Survivors include his son Scott and wife Anita Kenepp; daughter Jane and husband Frank Shenigo; grandchildren, Randy and wife Emily Kenepp, Jennifer Shenigo, Matt and wife Natalie Shenigo; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Kamryn, Braylon, Madelyn and Ephraim; niece, Beth (Bob) Marock, nephew Corey Mathias; aunt, Ruby Kenepp; brothers-in-law Dennis (Tricia) Mathias, Gary (Bill) Mathias, Doug Mathias and William E. Hill, Sr. Many cousins, extended family, and friends. Special thanks to the Crossroads Hospice team for providing Fred excellent care along with the doctors and nurses at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital. Appreciation to Grace Church-Choctaw, Elevation Church - Concord, Martin Steel and McGuireWoods for their support during this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
