Gary Don Martin

Gary Don Martin, 65, of Newalla, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at St Anthony’s Medical Center of Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel of Harrah. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery of Newalla. Friends may pay their respects 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home Gary was born November 7, 1955, in Denton, Texas to Donald and Wilda (Waggoner) Martin. He was reared and educated in Spencer and McLoud, graduating from McLoud High School in 1974. Gary was currently employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Oklahoma City Housing Authority. He has worked at the Danforth and Candle Lake facilities for over 36 years. Gary was a friend, mentor and “character builder” to many people and co-workers. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his daughters Lora Hall of Choctaw, Kerry Eaton of Harrah, Whitney Roeder of Nebraska; a brother Bruce Martin of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren.
