Gertie Dalphine Wilson, 60, of Oklahoma City, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at her residence. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Asa Smith Funeral Service Chapel. The casket will be open for friends 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16. Cremation will follow. Gertie was born February 23, 1961, in Richland, Virginia, to George David and Lillian Maxine (Keen) Armstrong. She was reared and educated in Oklahoma City. She married Doyle Wayne Wilson on June 24, 1989, in Oklahoma City. The couple made their home locally. Gertie enjoyed going to thrift stores with her mother, fishing and camping with her husband and children. She also served as a Cub Scout leader and loved to watch and attend pro wrestling events. She was a member of the Shady Nook Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Doyle of the home; father George, daughter Danielle Morse, son Clarence Armstrong, daughter Christina Hogshooter; grandchildren Olivia Armstrong, Amrey Armstrong, Rylyn Armstrong, Jessa Harwood, Lexa Harwood, Dayla Harwood, Calub Harwood, Summerdawn Parker, Christian Parker, Dakota Lines, and Dylan Poore all of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her mother, brothers Douglas Mac Whitt, and Lacy Garrent Whitt, and grandsons Douglas Mac Armstrong and Aiden Klah Armstrong.
