Gladys Belle Jarvis, 88, of Harrah, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at her residence. Memorial Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Harrah United Methodist Church. Cremation has been effected. Gladys was born November 22, 1932, in Union City, to Cornealius and Edith (Morrison) Franklin. She was in Union City, graduating high school in 1950. Gladys married Lee Jarvis on December 18, 1954. The couple lived in California, raised two children and owned and operated a plumbing business where Gladys worked as bookkeeper. They were later divorced, but always stayed close. Gladys went on to work as a payroll clerk for Apple Computers for several years before moving to Harrah in the early 1990’s. Gladys loved to volunteer for various organizations and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughter Geovanna Jarvis and her husband Dean Hora of Oklahoma City; son Neal and wife Kendra of Harrah; grandchildren Daniel Jarvis, Ashlyn Cook, Jonathan Thomas, Dustin and spouse Hugo Quintanilla, and Wyatt Hora; and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Connie Petillo.
