They owned a printing business, American Duplicating Service, in Indianapolis, IN, for 20 years. After Bob’s death, Helen moved back to Harrah for several years to live with her widowed mother. She returned to Indianapolis and worked 19 years for the Sears Roebuck and Co. department store. She was interested in national and world events and was an exceptional conversationalist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Lillian Hargrove and Betty Honea, a brother, Lee Edward Whitnah; sister-in-law, Carolyn Whitnah; and son-in-law, James T. Benton.
