Jackie Laverne Danyeur, 89, a loving mother, grandmother great-grandmother and a sweet, Christian lady loved by all, passed from this life to her reward in Heaven on November 4, 2018 in Oklahoma City. She was born in McLoud, OK on April 26, 1929 to Esley E. and Bertha Bell Chambless Nelson. She was captain of her basketball team and known as the Half Court Queen. She married Walt Danyeur on August 2, 1974 in Nicoma Park, OK. He preceded her in death in 1998. Jackie enjoyed bowling and was involved in the activities of her church. She was a member of the Del City Garden Club. She was retired from her position as an administrative assistant with the state of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Louis Harder and Walt Danyeur, a son Louis James Harder Jr., a brother Thurman Nelson and a sister Arletta Abbott. Jackie is survived by three daughters, Helen Hagen and husband Mike of Harrah, Barb Cook and husband Rod of Oklahoma City and Sue Steele of Meeker; a son Roy Danyeur and wife Linda of Prague, OK; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and 3 grand puppies. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Harrah, followed by interment at Dale Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah. Tributes and condolences may be posted on the funeral home web-site www.asasmith.net. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
