Jacqueline Elnora Bessinger

JACQUELINE E. BESSINGER Jacqueline Elnora Bessinger, 93, of Choctaw passed from this life to her glorious rewards and reuniting with a large group of friends and loved ones in Heaven on March 27, 2022, at her home in Choctaw. She was born August 30, 1928, in Newalla to Hugh Cook and Hazel Pennington Cook. Jacqueline was a warehouse worker in the grocery business. She was a resident of the Newalla, Bethany and Choctaw areas and married Leo Bessinger on August 17, 1946. He passed away in 1998. She was a very caring person and never had a bad word to say about anyone and was especially fond of her Calico cat, Cali. Jacqueline always put the welfare of her children first and worked nights at Humpty Dumpty Warehouse. Jacqueline loved to cook Sunday dinner to be enjoyed after church. She made the best apple pie ever. She spent a lot of time at the nursing home with her husband. Jacqueline quit driving after she got a speeding ticket in a school zone. Jacqueline was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; a baby daughter, Linda Suzanne; a granddaughter Ginger C. May and her brothers, Jerry and Lawton. Survivors include her son Gary and Kathy Bessinger of Moore; a daughter Sharon and Tommy Harris of Choctaw; Teri Bessinger of Moore; grandchildren Shawn (AJ) Turner, Derek (Amy) Harris, Tobi (Justin) Sherer, Troy (Jennifer) Bessinger; great-grandchildren Tucker Harris, Tanner Harris, Bryce and Cree Koon, Jayden Garvin, Wyatt Garvin, Kennedy Sherer, Noah Sherer, Isaiah Sherer, Leo Sherer; great-great-grandchildren Bodie Koon, Nellie Rose Bessinger. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service officiated by her nephew Ron Babbitt of Contact Mission Church of Christ and Dan Campbell of Faith Baptist Church.
