Jacqueline Rose “Jackie” Farris, 97, of Harrah, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the Harrah Nursing Center. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery of Newalla. Cremation has been effected. Jacqueline was born September 17, 1923, Tabler, Oklahoma, to Charles and Dolly (Wheeler) Sims. She was reared and educated in Wanette and Purcell. She married Billy Jo on November 1, 1944, in Oklahoma City. The couple made their home in Del City, before moving to Harrah in 1970’s. She was a homemaker, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Survivors include her son Thomas and his wife Theresa Farris of Harrah; brother Tony Sims of Canada; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Brenda Skaggs, and eight brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being made through Asa Smith Funeral Service of Harrah.
