Jacqueline Jean Ferris, 86, of McLoud, passed away Sunday. December 5, 2021, at the McLoud Nursing Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, at the McLoud First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery. Pastor Trish Harris will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Jackie was born April 3, 1935, to Vivian “Vip” and Hazel (Berry) Roberts in Keyes, Oklahoma. She was reared and educated in Culver City, California until her junior year of high school when the family returned to Keyes. She graduated high school in 1953. Jackie attended Panhandle A&M (Panhandle Oklahoma State University) where she studied accounting and bookkeeping. Jackie married Roger Ferris on September 14, 1953, in Keyes. The couple made their home in McLoud. She worked for McLoud Bank, then American National of Shawnee, before working as a bookkeeper for Linda Farrell, CPA. Jackie was a longtime member of the McLoud First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, sister Joyce Renfrow and brother Bobby Roberts. Survivors include her daughters Gayle Ferris of Oklahoma City, Carol and husband Larry Albert of Katy, Texas, Cheryl Young of McLoud; three grandchildren Nicole and husband Stephen Holmes, Tessa and husband Travis Glass, and Todd Albert; two great-grandchildren Kieran and Mia Holmes and one on the way.
