James Harold Ryans

June 21, 1941 — December 27, 2020

James Harold Ryans, 79, of Harrah passed away on December 27,2020 in Harrah. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Jamison Cemetery in Harrah. Services are entrusted to Asa Smith Funeral Service. James was born on June 21, 1941 in Cement, Oklahoma. James was a man of many interests and talents. He loved gardening and sharing from his garden and could grow some of the best tomatoes. He loved planting all kinds of trees his favorite lately being his tulip tree. Which was gorgeous. He was a great cook making a tasty brisket burning the edges for those of us who liked it that way. He enjoyed canning his pickles and making beef jerky. And he loved to share and every summer he was buying and giving watermelons to his friends and family. He was forever generous and giving! He loved his chickens and was happy for the kids to come and play with the babies. He also loved having Bible study out on his picnic table and would invite anyone and everyone to join in. We would often talk about better-times ahead and the things we will do in the paradise when we will have perfect health and all the things he wants to plant and grow when he will be able to walk and see again and have back his youthful stamina. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mildred Mae (Brownie) Kircum, Albert Lee Ryans Sr., Billy Ray Ryans, Willie Mack Ryans, Leeroy Ryans and Thelma Wizell. He is survived by his siblings, Donald Church, Jerry Church, Elaine McCutchin and Noland Ralph McConnell; daughter, Jamie Stoops and husband William Stoops; son, Scott Ryans and girlfriend Kathy and daughter, Tonya Mcglothin and husband Dennis Mcglothin. Also loved like a father by Denetta, Mendy, Shannon and Shane Hopper; his grandchildren Sheena Dickinson, Rick Mantooth, Levi Stoops, Dylan Stoops, Amber Stone, Rachel Mcglothin and Jonathan Mcglothin; 12 precious great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and loved and cared for by countless close friends and family.
