James Taft Hendrickson Sr. of Warner, OK passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 76. James was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 29, 1945 to Gladys Faye and John Taft Hendrickson. During his teen years he joined the Army and served our country until 1966. After the Army James worked hard and went on to become a trim carpenter. He trimmed new houses all across Oklahoma but mainly in the Oklahoma City metro area until the late 1990s. James’ work was well-known and loved by many. His work can still be seen in many homes by local builders and is currently being appreciated by families today. He married Velma Mae Hendrickson July 23, 1990 and in 2000 they moved to Warner, OK to retire. James went on to volunteer his skills locally to those in need until 2020. He loved passing on his knowledge and teaching the younger generation how to use basic handyman tools. He was well loved and known for his kindness in his community. James' joyful and giving spirit will be missed by family and many friends. When James wasn’t volunteering he loved spending time with his family and collecting coins. James had one last honorable wish. He requested after leaving his loved ones to donate his earthly body to continue to help others learn.
