Jannie Lue Sitton

Jannie Lue Sitton, 94, of Harrah passed from this life to her rewards in Heaven on September 11, 2020 in Harrah, OK. She was born November 8, 1925 to Richard and Delia Thomas in Alex, OK. She graduated from business school and was a key punch operator at Tinker Air Force Base. Jannie enjoyed gardening, sewing, genealogy, reading and canning vegetables and also took great pleasure in working jigsaw puzzles. Jannie was a real blessing to countless children working in the nursery at First Baptist Church, Harrah, for 36 years and was a member there for 56 years. Jannie was also a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Red Rose Garden Club. She loved to collect Frankhoma pottery and absolutely loved her place in the Country and her Black ’96 Grand Prix. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, R. T. and Joe Thomas. To the union of Jannie and Doyle Sitton, two children were born, daughter Linda Roberson of Harrah and son James Sitton of Harrah; 5 grandchildren, Carla, James, Jeff, Tina and Trista; and 6 great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Ethan, Shiloh, Jacob, Tristan and Hannah. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah. Rev. Gary Eubanks will be officiating.
