Jo Imogene Cheatwood, 93, beloved mother, grandmother, friend and family member to many others, left this life on March 18, 2019 in Harrah, OK. Imogene was born May 4, 1925 in Blackwell, OK to Jack and Abbie Ford (Dyer) Clark. Imogene was a devoted and long time member of the First Baptist Church in Harrah where she tirelessly worked to organize and coordinate the church's clothing room and food pantry for the poor and most in need for over 50 years. A quiet, devout Christian, Imogene loved quilting, reading and working puzzles. Imogene enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her garden. She was a founding member of the Helping Hearts in the Harrah Community and was a recipient of KFOR (Pay It Forward) award. Imogene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law George and Linda Cheatwood of Edmond, OK; her daughter Francis Cheatwood of Harrah, OK; two grandchildren: Andrew Cheatwood of Los Angeles, CA and Julie Cheatwood of Edmond, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, husband George Raymond Cheatwood, two sisters and six brothers. Memorials may be made to Harrah Downtown Ministry Center. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M Monday, March 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Harrah with Dr. Doug Jones and Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 PM at Micawber Cemetery in Micawber, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
