John Robert Fillips, 34, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Harrah and Moore, died Friday, February 26, 2021, at Integris Hospice House. “Celebration of Life” services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery of Harrah. The casket will be closed at all times but friends may pay their respects 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Those attending visitation or services are required to follow all COVID-19 mandates including the wearing of a mask and social distancing. John was born December 25, 1986, to Randy and Julie (Campbell) Fillips. He was reared and educated in Harrah and Moore, graduating from West Moore High School in 2005. He later attended Microsoft and IT Certification in California. John worked as an IT Specialist for Oklahoma Gas and Electric for the last five years. He was an avid video gamer and enjoyed building computers and was learning to play the guitar. Survivors include his mother Julie Gilmore of Oklahoma City; father Randy and his wife Gayla Fillips of Choctaw; sister Alexis Smith of Choctaw; bonus brother Steve Reiter of Oklahoma City; paternal grandmother Ann McGill of Choctaw; maternal grandparents Betty and Monty Nation of Florence, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Butch McGill, Johnny Fillips, and Robert Campbell A memorial has been established with Integris Hospice House of Oklahoma City.
