Jon Martin Vann

Jon Martin Vann, 73, of Oklahoma City, OK passed from this life on May 31, 2020 in Shawnee, OK He was born to Jack Vann and Virginia Martin Vann on February 19, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was employed in Civil Service as a Digital Computer Mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City. Jon served his Country as a member of the US Navy from 1966-1970. He was a strong and very private man who kept to himself. He enjoyed camping, fishing and boating and built his own houseboat. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a daughter Nancy Hughes and husband William of Chesapeake, VA and a son Jay Vann of Harrah, OK; twin brothers, Jim Vann and wife Debbie of Norman, OK and Jerry Vann of Midwest City, OK; a sister, Vicki Greene and husband Al of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Courtney Hughes, Jennifer Hughes and Piper Spaulding, all of Chesapeake, Va. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah under direction of Asa Smiths Funeral Service, Harrah.
