Joye L. Troutt

Joye Lovelle Troutt, 90, of McLoud left this life on Saturday, April 13, 2019 when Angels took her to meet her Father in Heaven. She passed away at her home in McLoud. Joye was born October 16, 1928 in Fletcher, OK to Roy and Bonnie (Shinn) Hollowell. She and Ray Troutt were married October 4, 1947 in Fletcher, OK and celebrated 71 years in marriage in October. Joye was employed in the LSI aircraft industry as a Parts Distributor. She loved music, especially playing the piano for her own enjoyment and also for others. She was a member of First Baptist Church Newalla for 63 years. She had been active in Falls Creek and Bible School, arranging funeral dinners, teaching Sunday School, training union and WMU. She was a Deacon’s wife and initiated weekly visits to shut-ins. She also had a special love for her dog, Foxy. Joye loved and was an expert at baking and decorating cakes, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her husband and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Don and Dwayne Troutt. Survivors include her husband, Ray of McLoud and daughter Dianne Carson of Choctaw; six grandchildren Jeremy Troutt of Parker, CO, Stacy Wells of Shawnee, KS, Brandon Troutt of McLoud, April Hatchell of McLoud, Nicki Whittington of Enid, OK and Russell Boland of El Cajon, CA; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Newalla followed by interment at Dale Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
