Our beloved mother, grandmother and loving friend to many Judy Oedewaldt, 71, of Harrah passed from this life and claimed her home in Heaven on September 7, 2018. She was born in Mt. Carmel, Illinois on August 8, 1947 to Almer Lee and Chloe Margaret (Hardin) Johnson. She married Charles (Chuck) Oedewaldt in Velma, OK on August 9, 1969. She graduated from Velma Alma High School in 1965. She was an avid lover of music and excelled at the trumpet and the coronet all through junior high and high school. After high school her sweet Momma drove her to the “city” and dropped her off at Business School. Upon completing that program she found employment at Tinker Air Force Base but decided to quit to stay home and raise her 2 children. She worked part time while raising the kids at Willowbrook Elementary and H&R Block during tax season. She returned to Tinker Air Force Base where she retired as a DoD System Design Analyst in 2008. It was very rare to see Judy without a Sonic Route 44 Diet Coke cup in her hands. When she pulled in at lunch and the stalls were full the carhops met her on the flip side with her order in hand. She also loved going out to eat and enjoyed the fellowship with family and friends. Some of the greatest times were spent with her lifelong friends going to the cabin in Broken Bow to fish, laugh, ride dune buggies and make the best memories. She enjoyed the companionship of her dear friends and had the opportunity to travel all over the US with them over the last few years and cherished all the wonderful memories she made. More than anything Judy loved her family. She was delighted to dote on her two granddaughters Chloe and Carlee and was tickled pink when C.T. was born. She attended all the girls ball games, plays and band concerts as well as any church events they were involved in. She loved going to Kansas City to visit Seth, Keri and C.T. and took advantage of every opportunity she had. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Chuck and 3 brothers Jerry Lee, Almer Ray, and Larry Joe. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Anderson and husband Cody of McLoud and her son Seth Oedewaldt and wife Keri of Kansas City; two granddaughters, Chloe and Carlee Anderson of McLoud and a grandson, C.T. Oedewaldt of Kansas City and brother Terry Jack Johnson and wife Brenda of Velma as well as many cherished family and friends. The family would like to specifically thank the wonderful nurses and staff at McLoud Nursing Center and the precious staff of Quality Hospice Care. The last several weeks would have been simply unbearable without them.
