Kenneth Leo Anderson

May 18, 1927 — March 17, 2020

Kenneth Leo Anderson, 92, of Harrah, left this life to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with a reunion with many friends and loved ones in Heaven on March 17, 2020, at his home in Harrah. He was born May 18, 1927, in Oklahoma City, OK to Louis Benjamin Anderson and Leona Rather Anderson and raised on a farm near Sardis, OK. Kenneth joined the workforce following 8th grade and later was a highly skilled general machinist at Tinker Air Force Base for 30 years and then went to work for OG&E. He served his country in the U. S. Navy in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Kenneth lived in Harrah for 62 years and was a devoted Christian man and a member of Countryside Baptist Church. He possessed a dry sense of humor and loved working outside in the yard. He planted 250 sibling pine trees on his property. He was a volunteer in the Mobile Meals program for more than 20 years and often built wheelchair ramps when his clients needed them. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Patricia Susan "Susie" Anderson; a sister, Mary Ann Brinlee and an infant brother at birth. Survivors include his beloved wife of 70 years Shirley; daughter, Linda Anderson Gifford of Tecumseh; a son, Mike Anderson and wife Karen of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Darla Harden of Sulphur, OK, and Darlene Curtis of Tazmania, Australia; five grandchildren, Robert and Sandra Grogan, Mindee and James Todd, Chris and Keli Anderson, Kendon Anderson and Michael and Candace Ousley; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Private graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Arcadia I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Christopher Michael Anderson officiating. A celebration of Mr. Anderson's life will be scheduled at a later date. Condolences and tributes must be posted on the funeral home website www.asasmith.net.
