Kenneth Wayne Bailey, 73, of McLoud, passed Tuesday evening at his home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Sunny Lane Cemetery of Oklahoma City. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Kenneth was born February 15, 1949, in Oklahoma City, to Donald and Thelma (Garmon) Bailey. He was reared and educated in Oklahoma City, before marrying Shirley Kay Harrington on April 28, 1966. The couple moved to the McLoud area in 1973. Ken worked many jobs throughout the years, Buddy’s Produce, Masterbuilt Motors, but worked alongside his father-in-law processing scrap metals for more that 35 years. He also would help his son and grandsons with cement work and even made repairs to water towers throughout Texas and other places around the country. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR, but truly loved hanging out and having fun with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley of the home; children Angela Hudson and companion David Walton, Duwayne Bailey and companion Dacia Sweetman, Amy and husband Miguel Grijalva all of McLoud; grandchildren Adam Bailey, Caitlin and husband Chris Noel, Ryan Bailey, Megan Bailey, Anita Hudson, Gracelyn Grijalva, Nicholas Grijalva, Cody Sweetman, Ashley Sweetman, plus one on the way in December; great-grandchildren Ashlynn and Kaylynn Bailey, Chris Noel, Kyson, Serenity, Bryden, Kingstyn and twins on the way in September; Siblings Donald Bailey, Jerry Bailey, Sandra Bothe, Kathy Garner, Barbara Bailey, Gordon Bailey, Nedra Harrison, Chris Bailey and Alan Bailey; sisters and brothers-in-law Patsy and husband Richard Blemmel, Genevieve Williams, Kenneth Harrington, Kathern and husband Bernie Freeman; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Jeannie Jones, Robert Bailey, David Bailey, Ronnie Bailey, Lonnie Bailey, Jannette Byars and Rodger Bailey.
