Lucile Rostykus (December 18, 1923 – December 3, 2020) Lucile (Brumley) Rostykus was born on December 18, 1923 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was the youngest child of Arthur and Clara (Royal) Brumley. As a young woman, Lucile moved to California to live with her sister Hazel. While in California, Lucile was lucky enough to see several popular bands in concert but most importantly, California is where she would meet Tommy Rostykus on a blind date. They would fall in love and marry at the Chapel of Roses on September 13, 1952. After the wedding, Lucile and Tommy made their home in Pasedena, California, where they welcomed three sons. In 1966, the family moved back to Tommy’s hometown of Harrah, Oklahoma where they built the home that would be the center of family events for the next five decades. Lucile was an extremely active and long time member at the First Baptist Church of Harrah. She enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies including porcelain painting, sewing, gardening, cooking, shopping but especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband of 50 years, Tommy Rostykus. She is survived by her three sons, Leo and his wife, Sharon, of Harrah, Oklahoma; Johnny and his wife, Mary Ann, of Harrah, Oklahoma; and Robert of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous other friends and family members that will miss her dearly.
