Lynnetta Bea Trent, 82, of Harrah, passed at her home with her family by her side. Lynnetta was born November 8, 1940, in Kingfisher, to Clifton “Dan” Daniel and LaVeta (Utley) Daniel. She was reared and educated in Del City, graduating from Del City High School. Lynnetta married Ron Trent on June 20, 1958, at the First Southern Baptist Church of Del City. The couple lived in Del City until the 1970’s when they moved to Harrah. Lynnetta was a homemaker, raising her five children. The couple moved to OKC, then Edmond, and later returned to Harrah in 2005. Lynnetta loved antiquing and refinishing furniture. She spent many years finding good deals and collecting beautiful antiques. Lynnetta found joy in sharing her finds with her family, gifting many pieces of furniture to her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful storyteller and singer. Lynnetta always had a beautiful song to sing and a story to tell. Lynnetta attended Faith Baptist Church of Harrah. She was a devout Christian, who loved sharing Jesus with those around her. Lynnetta was passionate about helping people, especially by donating food. She never wanted anyone to go hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ronnie Trent.
Survivors include her husband Ron of 65 years; daughter-in-love Barbie Trent of Yukon; children Steve and wife Fran Trent of Latham, KS, Cherie and husband Clint Montgomery of Harrah, Danny and wife Cheryl Trent of Harrah; John and wife Amber Trent of Edmond; siblings Clifton Daniel and Richard Daniel both of Edmond; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may greet the family at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Faith Baptist Church of Harrah. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery of Harrah. Pastor Dan Campbell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests to honor Lynnetta’s life that friends bring canned goods or a donation to the service to be later given to FBC Harrah for the local food pantry.
