Maria Socorro Gallardo better known as “Abuelita”

Abuelita passed on December 13, 2023, at her home in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Maria Socorro was the most wonderful and beautiful mother and grandmother anyone could ask for! She absolutely was very family oriented and loved her very large family very much. She would often make it a point to be with family and enjoyed having a good time with them, whether it was having good meal, enjoying some form of entertainment, whatever it was she loved being with family and friends.

She was always so encouraging, no matter how bad a of day one was having she would always find a way to make you feel better. At times, just being in her company would be enough to make one feel better, it can be said that she was a comforter!

Abuelita enjoyed a very close relationship with her creator Jehovah God, it was because of this relationship that she was able to be the loving, caring woman that she was. She had many, many friends and knew no enemy except death, but she knew from the Scriptures that this much dreaded enemy death will eventually be defeated by our loving God Jehovah! She looked forward to the day when she will enjoy perfect life on a beautiful paradise here on earth as promised by Jehovah God. This wonderful knowledge allowed her to be at peace and love life and the one that gave it to her, so she was able to focus on loving others and caring for her precious family!

I’m sure that we all can say with all certainty that Abuelita was the BEST! She will be dearly missed by family and friends, but she leaves behind an abundance of precious memories that will keep her living in our minds and hearts forever!

One of Abuelita’s favor scripture was Philippians 4:6,7 “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.
