MARILYN DIANE MAGEE-BROWN Marilyn Diane Magee-Brown, 68, of Newalla passed from this life into the arms of Jesus to join a host of family and friends in Heaven on April 15, 2021. She was born April 12, 1953, in Oklahoma City, OK to H. C. and Marguerite Ownbey. Diane grew up in Midwest City, OK and graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1971. She played trumpet in the school band, played piano and was in the National Honor Society. Diane was also active in the Midwest City Rainbow Girls Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dean Brown. She is survived by her sister Sharon Stroope and her husband, Benny; her son Landon Magee and wife Amy; and grandsons Luke and Owen Magee; her son Justin Magee and wife Kathy and granddaughter, Katlyn; her niece Christie Rickey and nephew Michael Stroope and great nephew Preston Stroope; and her Dyer cousins, Ownbey cousins and many, many friends. Diane cherished her family and friends. She made life-long friends. Paula, you were more like a sister and Sarah you were the daughter Diane never had. She helped feed the homeless, gave a home to someone in need. She and her husband Dean started a Cowboy Church in Newalla and it was active until his passing. Diane retired from the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Health Clinic to her home in Newalla, OK. Even though she retired, she loved the people she worked with. Diane is going to be missed but we will see her again in Heaven with a new and healthy body. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Choctaw Road Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Sowell officiating, followed by interment at Dale Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah. Condolences and tributes may be posted on the funeral home web-site www.asasmith.net. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.
