Mary Ann Wood, 83, of Luther, formerly of the Harrah/Choctaw area, died Friday (February 11, 2022) at her daughter’s home with her family by her side. The Rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Saturday (February 19, 2022) at St Teresa’s Catholic Church of Harrah. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30. Burial will follow in the St. Teresa’s Catholic Cemetery. The casket will be open at the funeral home 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Mary was born April 25, 1938, in Harrah, to Joseph and Lenora (Hopcus) Rominski. She was reared and educated in the Harrah/Choctaw area, graduating from Choctaw High School in 1956. Mary was a longtime employee of Oklahoma County serving in the Back Taxes office of the County Assessor. She was a faithful member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Edmond, teaching Vacation Bible School and serving with the Altar Society. Survivors include her daughter Denise Wyatt of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Paige Wyatt, Matt Wyatt and Summer Wyatt: and a great-granddaughter Bowyn Wyatt; sister Julia Fisher of Harrah and her daughters Barbara and Brenda; and her faithful companion “Sparky”. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert “Bob” Wood. Arrangements are under the care of Asa Smith Funeral Services of Harrah. Online condolences may be made at www.asasmith.net
