Former Harrah resident Mary Lou Warner, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 90, of Newcastle left this life to join a host of friends and relatives on July 17, 2018 in Newcastle. She was born to Lonnie and Sylvia Cecil Shaddox in Arlington, KS on June 9, 1928. The family moved to Harrah in 1971. She was a Civil Service administrator for Housing and Urban Development (HUD) until her retirement. Mary Lou was a loving, caring, devout Christian who was quiet and generous. She was the sweetest human on earth. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, sewing and making jewelry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Harrah where she was active in the food service ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Laurence, a brother Lonnie Shaddox and a sister Betty Jo Whitehead. Survivors include two daughters, Sherri and husband Carl Lee of Newcastle and Sally and husband Earl Hendrix of Newalla; three sons, Dave and wife Suzy Warner of Eufaula, Larry and wife Paula Warner of Norman and Lynn Alvin and wife Diane Warner of Choctaw; 25 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Harrah, followed by interment in Memory Lane Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
