Michael James Baker

Michael James Baker, 56, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on March 31, 2019 in Harrah, Oklahoma. He was born on December 15, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Roldon and Reba (Kelley) Baker. Mike graduated from Choctaw High School in 1981. He played baseball at Connors State for a short time. He loved to golf, fish, hunt and do woodworking. He was a true outdoorsman. Mike retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after many years there. After retirement, him and his brother, Eugene, went into business together forming the company Bakers Unlimited. More than anything Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and loving on his grandkids. Mike is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife, Angela; his daughters, Summer (husband, John "Chip") Teters of Stroud, OK; Shayna (husband, Cody) Walters of Tishomingo, OK; 4 grandchildren, Trae and Kyleigh Teters and Taelyn and Tyson Walters. Brothers Eugene Baker of Bridge Creek, OK and Wayne (wife, Tiffany) Baker of Oklahoma City, OK. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life honoring his life will be held at Choctaw Road Baptist Church on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 2:00 PM with Brother Jeromye Jackson officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
