Pearl A. Roberts Our sweet, sweet Momma, Granny, Great-Granny, and Great-great Granny passed away on July 27, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie. They were married for 65 wonderful years. She’s survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Roger and Charlene Eddy, George and Alisa Roberts and Steve and Donna Roberts; 8 grandchildren: Christie, Heather, Aaron, Crystal, Jadyn, Clint, Craig and Leslie; 20 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was born on April 3, 1929 in Alex, Oklahoma, to C.B. Murphy and Essie Mae (Moore) Murphy. One of eleven children, she is survived by two sisters, Ozella Dollar and Willa Jones. She is also survived by two sisters in law, Lois Roberts and Marie Burkhardt. She loved life. She was first and foremost a wife and mother. For almost twenty years she worked as a sales associate for the housewares department at John A. Brown’s in Capitol Hill. She loved her job and excelled at it. When Brown’s closed the Capitol Hill store, Momma set up the Houseware Department for Brown’s at the new location at Crossroads Mall in 1974. Something she was extremely proud of. She lived a simple life, but had extraordinary values. Values she expected her children to live by. She was a Christian who believed there was no gray area in God’s Word. His Word was written in such a way that there should be no question about the meaning of His commandments. She was ready to meet her God, the Creator of the Universe. We can only imagine what it must be like to kiss the feet of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We can imagine that she is listening to ancient stories from Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Peter and Paul. How amazing heaven must be! She missed Daddy so much! Oh, how we are going to miss you! A celebration of our mother’s remarkable life will be Monday, August 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Harrah.
