Rebecca "Becky" M Stamback

May 4, 1951 — June 16, 2023

REBECCA MARIE STAMBACK

Rebecca (Becky) Marie Brown Stamback, 72, of Harrah entered the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2023, in Midwest City, OK. She was born to James Arnold and Clara Camara Brown on May 4, 1951, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Her father was in the Navy, so her family moved around the country when she young. They settled in the Choctaw area in the early 1960’s and she graduated from Choctaw High School in 1969. She met the love of her life in middle school and eventually married Robert Alan Stamback in 1970. The couple started their life together in Nicoma Park then moved north of Harrah in Lincoln County in 1978. Becky was a legal secretary her entire career eventually retiring from Crowe and Dunlevy after 20 years of service. She was a loving, laughing, intelligent, loyal, generous, supportive, independent, no drama, super organized woman. She enjoyed a quiet and no-nonsense life in a home out in the country that she and Robert literally carved out of 7 acres of native red dirt Oklahoma oak, blackjack, and hickory. She loved crossword puzzles, beating everyone at Scrabble (she took no mercy even on her grandchildren), cooking holiday meals, spending time with her sons and daughters-in-law, spoiling her grandchildren, and constantly changing TV channels (even when everyone else in the room was watching the current channel).

She was preceded in death by her father James Arnold Brown; father-in-law Willard Calvin Stamback; mother-in-law Bonnie Beatrice Stamback; and brother-in-law Larry Raymond.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert Alan Stamback of the home; two sons Robert Alan Stamback Jr. and wife Lyndi of Georgia and Ryan Adam Stamback and wife Jennifer of Missouri; grandchildren Shelby, Brett and Zachary Stamback of Georgia and Logan and Aaron Stamback of Missouri; her mother, Clara Brown, siblings John Brown, Rachel Raymond, Francene Capps and Peter Brown, brother and sister-in-law Dee and Reta Starkey, nieces and nephews Jennifer Trice, Laura Ivey, Melissa Meredith, Sarah Wagnon, Shawn Capps, Julie Nettleton, April Ryan, Elizabeth Monroe, Peter Brown Jr., Garrett Brown, Marcus Malone, Michael Malone, Matthew Malone along with their significant others, children, and grandchildren; and lifetime neighbor family Shirley, Susan, and Steven Ecker.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, 2039 Tim Holt Drive, Harrah, under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.
