Rosie Lee (Lawson) Wiegert Beloved daughter of Walter and Jewel Lawson, born in Colgate Oklahoma on January 18, 1932 went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis Gene Wiegert and siblings LeRoy Lawson, Hairl Lawson, Annie Ratcliff, and Gladys Ewaniuk. Rosie graduated Harrah High School in 1950 and married Louis Gene Wiegert the same year. Together they had three children, Debbie Jean Myers (Kenny); Gary Michael Wiegert (Patsy), Brenda Joyce Cowan (Jim). As a family they farmed Harrah Land eventually moving to Newalla where they resided until Gene’s death in 1978. Rosie was employed as a Teacher’s Aide with McLoud Public Schools until her retirement. She was given six grandchildren: Shane Christopher Francis, Gary Michael Eugene Wiegert, Summer Dawn Smith, Kara Raechelle Davis, Ashley Brooke Cowan-Simpson, Nicole Desiree Urguhart, and fourteen great grandchildren: Justin Dean Francis, Benjamin Logan Francis, Halle Corin Smith, Gavin Michael Wiegert, Clayton Alan Ray Underwood, Katlynn Marlene Smith, Audrie Leigh Smith, Baelea Ray Myers, Raelynn Faith Nicole Urguhart, Landon James Davis, Mia Isabelle Cowan Simpson, Izayah Michael Coy Folks, Carson James Davis, Austin Christopher Urguhart. Additionally, she had one great-great grandchild: Elijah Powell Rosie met a wonderful man William Edward White, fell in love, and in 2001 she gained four step-children: JoEllen Desch, Louis White, Mike White, and Kyle White. Together they loved to go dancing, fishing and enjoyed traveling with their family. She is survived by all her children & step children, grandchildren and six best friends in her sisters: Helen Ward, Edith Wiegert, Mary Lou Canada, Ellen Mae Jilge, Jackie Hazle and Alice Davis. She was blessed. An opportunity to pay your respects to Rosie will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 23, 2018 with a closed casket at Asa Smith Funeral Home in Harrah. Service will begin at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Harrah Church of Christ. Burial to follow at Dale Cemetery.
