Roy Davis Herring

Roy Davis Herring was greeted by his loving wife at heavens gates on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

He was born on March 22, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Arnold and Wanda Herring. He spent his childhood years in and around the Midwest city area. In his late teens he moved to the outskirts of Mcloud, where he met and married the love of his life, Stacey, on March 16, 1984. He was a beautiful craftsman that loved to build anything. His handiwork has dotted numerous family members houses, which we will always cherish. He was a devoted husband and the greatest dad to his three girls. He was always a phone call away no matter what you needed you could count on him. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a mountain of a man, that no one could compare. He was the best papa and loved to play with all his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Herring, mother, Wanda Herring and Father, Arnold Herring. He is survived by his daughters: Lisa Kennedy husband Benjamin of Guthrie, Elizabeth Beavers husband David of Edmond, Amanda Halford husband John of Mcloud, Sister Jeannie Wells, brothers David and Jeff Herring and all of his grand-kiddos: Harley, Wyatt, Benjamin V, Taylor, Preston, Jackson, Brently and Lola. Nephews: Jesse, James, Troy, Luke, Mark, Paul and nieces Mikayla and Kara.

We will continue to be the strong godly women you raised. We can hear mom's voice as she greeted you in heaven, "There you are!"

We are forever grateful for having you as our dad. Love you forever and always, your girls.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Pastor Larry Sparks will officiate. Burial will follow in Jamison Cemetery.

The family will greet friends Wednesday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
