Sarah Leota McCutcheon Ertel Rosetano, 97, of Harrah left this life on August 29, 2020 in Midwest City, OK. She was born to Daniel Lee and Ola Arilla McCutcheon on July 10, 1923 and grew up in the Choctaw and Newalla areas. She married Edward William Ertel in April 1952 and raised five children in Harrah, OK. Sarah was a Mother, Grandma, homemaker, excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She was an Avon Lady in Harrah for many years and worked for Harrah Schools as a secretary attendant, van driver and substitute teacher. She also served as an officer on the Oklahoma County Election Board for 40 years. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose and Tinker AFB Club, Farmers Union, Joie Die Ballroom Dance Club and a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Teacher Retirement Association. But she always said the most important job was being a mother and homemaker. Sarah loved to dance, from Country to Polka to Big Band. She traveled in the United States and abroad. Kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland was a highlight. Attending and enjoying numerous school activities, raising her children and watching her grandchildren were high on her list and Holidays were always so special to her. She worshipped at Harrah United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and was a baptized believer with a deep hope and faith in Jesus Christ. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Edward Ertel and Anthony Rosetano, two brothers, Balis and Cecil McCutcheon and sister June Chapin-Helm and a grandson Matthew William Ertel. Survivors include four daughters, Dr. Carole Hannon of Tucson, AZ, Jane Mobley of Harrah, OK, Debi and Jerry Kuzia of Flagler Beach, FL and Lou Ann and Paul Wiegert of Harrah; one son, Ted and Lisa Ertel of Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren plus a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members. We as her family will always have memories of her as a faithful Christian, hard worker, fun-loving and the Best Mother and Grandmother. Forever Loved! A full 97 years of life. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel at Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah, officiated by Tom Drake.
