SHARON LYNN (SHAWNI) SHELTON Sharon Lynn (Shawni) Shelton, 72, of Harrah passed from this life on June 20, 2021 at her home in Harrah to her rewards in Heaven and a glorious reunion with a host of family and friends. She was born to Roy Lee Norrell and Julia Ann Russell Norrell on January 2, 1949 in Hobart, OK. She graduated from Del City High School and then received her cosmetology license and was also a substitute teacher. Shawni enjoyed and taught line dancing in Springfield, MO and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and loved being outside in the country. She was a woman of many talents and was a headstrong, determined and strong lady. To MeMe, her grandkids were very important and they could call on her at any time. She was mainly a housewife and took great pleasure in the sporting events of her grandkids. She was easily the "fan of the year" EVERY year. Shawni lived her life as an example to inspire people to never give up. Shawni was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Linda Carol Norrell. Survivors include her husband, Tony Shelton of the home; a son Bubba Shelton and a daughter Kim Shelton; her only granddaughter, Niki Shelton; and three grandsons, Seth and wife Jenna Shelton, Ty Shelton and Dakota Duffield; many other extended family and friends and her special Chihuahua, Harper. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Dale Cemetery under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.
