Thelma Lee Mcdaniel

Thelma Lee McDaniel, age 92, of Harrah, Oklahoma, left this life on Wednesday, August 03, 2022, in Midwest city Oklahoma. Thelma was born on January 29, 1930, in Prague Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy and Rozella (Harris) VanZant. Thelma married Elden Orville McDaniel December 29, 1947, in Prague, Oklahoma, she was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Thelma enjoyed fishing, traveling in her camper, spending time at the lake house. She was an avid artist who enjoyed sewing, painting and making her own ceramic art work. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles VanZant, brother Harold VanZant, brother Jim VanZant. She is survived by son Eldon Keith and Michele McDaniel; daughter Sandra Pogue; sister Georgia Hoover; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Saturday August 06, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 100 North Indian Meridian, Choctaw, Oklahoma. Bishop John Clarke will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Gable Cemetery east of Meeker. Arrangements are under the care of Asa Smith Funeral Services of Harrah.
