Tom J. Mason

Thomas James Mason, 74, of Choctaw passed from this life on January 9, 2020 at his home. He was born to Roy Halstead Mason and Mary Mullen Mason on August 3, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1963 and attended college. He married Deborah Carl in Midwest City on May 16, 1986. Tom was a Jet Engine Assembler, Supervisor for the B1 and B2 bombers at Tinker Air Force Base before retiring after 37 years. He loved working on cars, starting with go-karts when he was young and also drove dragsters and funny cars. He also enjoyed snow skiing and working in his vegetable garden.. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom is survived by his wife Deborah of the home; two brothers, Mike Mason and wife Susie of Olathe, KS and David Mason of Denver, CO; two sisters, Patsy and husband Dr. Tom Harris of Richland Hills, MI and Kathy and husband Rick of Springfield, Il; and two sisters-in-law, Maureen and husband Scott of Arcadia and Terry Felkins of Morris, OK. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 in the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel under direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.
