Tommie “Howard” Robbins, 69, lifelong Harrah resident, passed away Friday, October 4th, with his family by his side.
Howard was born February 15, 1955, in Harrah, to Tommie Willis and Lucille (Goeders) Robbins. He was reared and educated in Harrah attending local schools. He started washing parts for Richard Wozniak at a very young age and later worked for AJ Winters Garage. He opened his own garage in 1981. He began to slow down about a year ago due to his health. Howard married Monda Williams on September 14, 1982, in Choctaw, the couple made their home in Harrah.
Howard enjoyed fishing and relaxing at the lake with his wife and girls and later he loved teaching his grandchildren to fish. Many family memories include time well spent at their place at Lake Eufala. While his daughters were in school Howard was in the bleachers during their basketball games and he spent several years as an FFA dad. Howard could fix most anything mechanical, except Monda’s hairdryer. He built the family home in Harrah where he taught his girls the pride of an honest day’s work.
Howard was known for his big smile, wonderful sense of humor and his full and loud laugh. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tony Robbins and a brother-in-law Bob Patnuade.
Those left to mourn his passing but remember his smile and the light in his eyes include his wife Monda of the home; daughters Lee Ann and husband Damon Langston, Angie and husband Ryan McCaslin all of Little Axe, Trena Robbins of Harrah; two sisters Carol and husband Greg Patnaude; and Sharon Patnaude all of Harrah; four granddaughters Kaitlyn and husband Brandon Bixler, Liberty McCaslin, Londyn McCaslin and Lyric Fryar; grandson Gage Fryar; and a great-granddaughter Olivia Bixler.
